About me:
I am currently doing my doctorate at the University of Zurich and researching the topic of recognizing strengths - a skill that is essential for teachers, HR managers and coaches, among others. In addition to my work as a doctoral student, I also teach at various institutions, including the FernUni Schweiz, the Fernfachhochschule Schweiz and the ZHAW. There I teach students in positive psychology, personality psychology and scientific-methodological subjects and supervise Bachelor's and Master's theses. In a management consultancy, I put my theoretical knowledge about recognizing strengths in personnel selection and development into practice.

What strength of character leads me to experience flow?
As a curious and creative person, I love playing with ideas and implementing them together with others.

What is my vision for SWIPPA?
My vision is to help SWIPPA become better known as the leading association for positive psychology in Switzerland and to raise awareness of positive psychology.

Dr. Doris Baumann

About me:
As a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Zurich, I research and teach on fulfillment in life, well-being across the lifespan and successful aging. As part of my doctoral thesis, I conducted the first comprehensive and systematic study on the topic of fulfillment in life, thereby initiating a new line of research. As founder of EVOLVING LAB and scientific advisor, I have a bridging function to make research findings on successful living accessible to practitioners and organizations. My goal is to inspire and empower people to live a fulfilling life at any age. I support them in developing a positive perspective on their lives, aging and their future and in consciously perceiving and utilizing their creative possibilities.

What strength of character leads me to experience flow?
I am very happy that I can use my signature strength, the love of learning, on a daily basis in my research work. It is fulfilling to do what I love and deal with topics that are relevant to people's daily lives.

What is my vision for SWIPPA?
I hope that together we can help create a hopeful and rewarding future for individuals, communities and society. We want to promote aspects such as connectedness, meaningfulness and caring for oneself, others and the environment.

Franz Gysin

About me:
Professionally, I work as an external consultant for financial companies on long-term investment and risk strategies as well as manager selections. I also coach individuals in very different life situations. I am interested in psychology because I am interested in people and it helps me to get to know myself better.
Among other things, positive psychology works with virtues and strengths, life satisfaction and positive growth. All these components enrich my business activities as well as my private life.

What strength of character leads me to experience flow?
My curiosity always leads me to new, interesting topics. Searching for and developing solutions in a team can definitely lead to a flow experience.

What is my vision for SWIPPA?
SWIPPA supports the promotion of the exchange of knowledge regarding research and findings in the field of positive psychology between its members. The members are positive multipliers in the practical application of positive psychology for the benefit of the public.

MSc Christian Kastner (treasurer)

About me:
I am currently a doctoral student on the home straight, a psychotherapist and a mindfulness teacher at heart. My passion lies in the question of how a mindful and humorous view of the world can make it easier for us to deal with the small and big catastrophes of life - and shared as mindful humor - perhaps even others.

What strength of character leads me to experience flow?
Love of learning, persistence and spirituality are certainly important character strengths. For me, mindfulness has less to do with "blind faith" (which is often equated with spirituality) and much more to do with exploring one's own mind exclusively on the basis of one's own experiences - in other words, it is basically a purely empirical matter.

What is my vision for SWIPPA?
I would like to see mindfulness anchored even more firmly in SWIPPA. So far, this has already happened relatively regularly, for example in workshops (e.g. at the symposium). That would be a good development, as mindfulness can make a decisive contribution to a happy life, regardless of the circumstances.

Dr. Andreas Krafft (secretary)

About me:
For more than 20 years I have been a lecturer at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) as well as a management trainer and consultant with a focus on work, organizational and health psychology.
As Associate Researcher at the Institute for Systemic Management and Public Governance (HSG), Co-President of swissfuture (the Swiss Association for Futures Studies) and Board Member of the Swiss Positive Psychology Association, I lead the international research network of the Hope Barometer..

What strength of character leads me to experience flow?
For me, it's a combination of curiosity, willingness to learn and spirituality. The future is not something we just have to prepare for. We can and must shape the future together according to our own wishes, hopes and ideals, while also trusting in a benevolent force in the universe. This hope for a better life and a better world is the starting point for actively shaping our lives.

What is my vision for SWIPPA?
For more than 25 years I have been dealing with positive world views from philosophy, theology and psychology. As a trainer and coach, I want to make the everyday lives of people in institutions and organizations more worth living. Starting from the individual, I look at society as a whole and am committed, even if only on a small scale, to a fulfilled life and a better world. The question is, how can individuals become happy and at the same time transcend themselves, not take themselves so seriously, grow beyond themselves and shape the future we want together with a meaningful task?

Béatrice Kuster MA Positive Psychology & Coaching cand.

About me:
Professionally, I am a lecturer at various universities in Germany and abroad for Positive Psychology, Positive Education and Positive Counseling and Coaching. I also work with children and young people in my own mental health practice using positive and prospective psychotherapy.

I am interested in the implementation of Positive Psychology in the context of education, in the classroom, for the prevention of mental, emotional and social health of children and adolescents (Positive Education).
As a former social worker, I consider Positive Psychology in counseling as a supportive concept to accompany people on their way to a self-effective everyday life (Positive Counseling) and in coaching for Everest goals and visions to aim for and blossom.
Furthermore, I am interested in the influence of the future, the ability to anticipate, to imagine the future with different paths, on personal development (homo prospectus).

What strength of character leads me to experience flow?
I get into flow through epistemic curiosity for my own life and that of my environment, anticipating and imagining different paths for the future.

What is my vision for SWIPPA?
My vision is for swippa to remain and become a competence center for positive psychology - far beyond its borders. In addition to psychology, many other closely related branches of science should have access to the concepts of PP. To this end, various formats of further training will be offered. The swippa platform is to become a "reference work" on all aspects of a fulfilled life, self-efficacy, empathic and sustainable coexistence, mental and emotional health and the development of potential - for the difference on this earth.

Dr. Valentina Vylobkova

About me:
As the program manager of the CAS in Positive Psychology at the University of Zurich, I look forward every year to accompanying motivated and knowledge-hungry course participants in their continuing education. I am also a big fan of positive psychology interventions and promote their application in the workplace for more satisfaction and engagement in my lectures and workshops. In my research project, I am interested in positive personality traits such as character strengths and flexibility and their role in employee well-being. Are adaptable people also better at achieving a personal work-life balance? What role does living out one's own character strengths play in the workplace? Why is adaptability beneficial in the VUCA world?

What strength of character leads me to experience flow?
Curiosity and a love of learning, coupled with creativity, when I work on the materials for my talks and workshops or accompany positive psychology enthusiasts in their further training, lead me to experience flow.

What is my vision for SWIPPA?
I would like SWIPPA to become known in all regions of Switzerland for its unique events and training opportunities in positive psychology.
